Tom Parr has been operating cameras for broadcast since 1995, initially with HTV Wales and also
during his time whilst on contract at "The London Studios". He is an extremely competent
multi-camera operator who is particularly experienced working with remote or "Hot-Head"
cameras.
He collected the 2009 R.T.S. Best Multi-Camera Award for his work both operating cameras and as
a gallery director on Channel 4's "The Family". To further enhance his multi-camera awareness,
other directing work has included "One Born Every Minute" nominated for the 2010 R.T.S.
Multi-Camera Award and winner of the 2010 BAFTA Award for Best Factual series. Tom is also
extremely proud of his hot-head contribution to the world feed of the 2008 Beijing Olympics
Opening Ceremony, used by NBC, whose coverage of which was awarded the Creative Primetime Emmy for
Outstanding Camerawork.
